Lina’s Colorful Day
Lina wakes up early on a sunny morning. She opens her window and feels the warm air on her face. The sky is blue, and small white clouds move slowly. Lina is happy because today is a special day. She wants to visit the park near her home. She wears her yellow dress and comfortable shoes. She takes her small pink backpack and puts inside it a bottle of water, a sandwich, and her favorite crayons. Lina loves drawing, and she thinks today is the perfect day to draw something beautiful. She closes the door of her room and walks to the kitchen, smiling.

Lina leaves her house and walks down the quiet street. She sees green trees on both sides of the road. The air smells fresh, and she can hear birds singing. As she gets closer to the park, she sees a group of children playing with a red ball. They laugh loudly, and the sound makes Lina smile. She waves at them, and some of the children wave back. Lina continues walking until she reaches the big brown gate of the park. She pushes the gate gently and enters. Inside, she sees tall trees, colorful flowers, and a clear path that leads to a small lake. She feels excited about spending her day here.
تغادر لينا منزلها وتمشي في الشارع الهادئ. ترى الأشجار الخضراء على جانبي الطريق. الهواء منعش، وتسمع زقزقة العصافير. عندما تقترب من الحديقة، ترى مجموعة من الأطفال يلعبون بكرة حمراء. يضحكون بصوت عالٍ، وهذا الصوت يجعل لينا تبتسم. تلوّح لهم بيدها، وبعض الأطفال يردّون التحية. تواصل لينا المشي حتى تصل إلى البوابة البنية الكبيرة للحديقة. تدفع البوابة بلطف وتدخل. في الداخل ترى أشجارًا طويلة، وزهورًا ملونة، ومسارًا واضحًا يؤدي إلى بحيرة صغيرة. تشعر بالحماس لقضاء يومها هنا.

Lina walks to the lake and sits on a wooden bench. The water is calm and shiny. Ducks swim slowly, and one small duck comes close to her. Lina laughs softly and opens her backpack. She takes out her crayons and a white paper. She starts drawing the lake, the ducks, and the trees around her. The sun is warm, and she feels peaceful. A light wind moves her hair gently. A family sits on the grass nearby, eating snacks. Lina watches the little boy in the family as he runs after a butterfly. The scene feels quiet and beautiful, and Lina enjoys every moment.
تمشي لينا إلى البحيرة وتجلس على مقعد خشبي. الماء هادئ ولامع. تسبح البطّات ببطء، وتقترب بطة صغيرة منها. تضحك لينا بخفة وتفتح حقيبتها. تُخرج ألوانها وورقة بيضاء. تبدأ في رسم البحيرة والبط والأشجار من حولها. الشمس دافئة، وتشعر لينا بالسلام. نسيم خفيف يحرك شعرها برفق. تجلس عائلة على العشب بالقرب منها تتناول بعض الوجبات الخفيفة. تراقب لينا الطفل الصغير في العائلة وهو يجري خلف فراشة. يبدو المشهد هادئًا وجميلاً، وتستمتع لينا بكل لحظة.

While Lina is drawing, a girl about her age walks toward her. The girl has curly brown hair and carries a green kite. She smiles and says, “Hi, I’m Sara. What are you drawing?” Lina shows her the picture, and Sara claps happily. “It’s beautiful!” she says. Sara asks Lina if she wants to fly the kite with her. Lina agrees, and they run to an open field inside the park. The wind is stronger there, and the kite rises quickly into the sky. The girls laugh as they watch the kite dance in the air. Lina feels happy because she has made a new friend. They promise to play together again next week.
بينما كانت لينا ترسم، اقتربت منها فتاة في مثل عمرها تقريبًا. كانت للفتاة شعر بني مجعد وتحمل طائرة ورقية خضراء. ابتسمت وقالت: “مرحبًا، أنا سارة. ماذا ترسمين؟” عرضت لينا عليها الصورة، فصفقت سارة بسعادة وقالت: “إنها جميلة!” سألت سارة لينا إن كانت تريد أن تطير الطائرة الورقية معها. وافقت لينا، وركضتا معًا إلى مساحة مفتوحة داخل الحديقة. كان الهواء أقوى هناك، وارتفعت الطائرة بسرعة في السماء. ضحكت الفتاتان وهما تشاهدان الطائرة ترقص في الهواء. شعرت لينا بالسعادة لأنها كسبت صديقة جديدة. وتعهدتا بأن تلعبا معًا مرة أخرى الأسبوع القادم.

In the afternoon, the sky becomes orange as the sun begins to set. Lina says goodbye to Sara and walks back toward the park gate. She feels tired but very happy. Her drawing is inside her backpack, safe and neat. As she walks home, she remembers all the beautiful moments of the day: the quiet lake, the ducks, the boy chasing the butterfly, and the fun she had flying the kite. When she reaches her house, her mother opens the door and hugs her. Lina tells her mother everything. Her mother smiles and says she is proud of her. Lina ends her day with a warm meal and goes to bed early, dreaming of more colorful days to come.
