Lina had always believed her small city was ordinary, but everything changed the night the sky turned green. She was standing on her balcony when a strange circular cloud appeared above the buildings. It glowed softly and spun like a giant wheel made of light. Suddenly, her wristwatch beeped, even though she had never set an alarm. The screen turned white, showing a message she had never seen before: “Energy Shift Detected. Stay Alert.”
Her heart pounded. She looked around, but the streets were silent, and no one else seemed to notice the strange sky.
لطالما اعتقدت لينا أن مدينتها صغيرة وعادية، لكن كل شيء تغيّر في الليلة التي أصبح فيها لون السماء أخضر. كانت تقف في شرفة منزلها عندما ظهر فوق المباني سحاب دائري غريب. كان يلمع بلطف ويدور مثل عجلة عملاقة من الضوء. فجأة، أصدرت ساعة يدها صفيراً رغم أنها لم تضبطها على أي تنبيه. تحولت الشاشة إلى اللون الأبيض وظهرت رسالة غريبة: "تم اكتشاف تحوّل طاقي. كوني على حذر."خفق قلبها بقوة. نظرت حولها، لكن الشوارع كانت صامتة، ولا أحد يبدو منتبهاً للسماء الغريبة.

The next morning, Lina walked to school feeling uneasy. People acted normal, talking and laughing as if nothing strange had happened. But when she looked at the sky, she noticed faint green lines like cracks in the air. During class, her watch beeped again: “Field expanding.” Lina quickly hid her wrist. Her friend Rami leaned closer and whispered, “Why does your watch keep beeping?”
Before she could answer, the classroom lights flickered, and all the screens turned green for two seconds. Everyone gasped—everyone except Lina, who already knew something bigger was happening.
في صباح اليوم التالي، ذهبت لينا إلى المدرسة وهي تشعر بعدم الارتياح. كان الناس يتصرفون بشكل طبيعي، يتحدثون ويضحكون كأن شيئاً لم يحدث. لكن عندما نظرت إلى السماء رأت خطوطاً خضراء باهتة تشبه الشقوق في الهواء. أثناء الحصة، أصدرَت الساعة صفيراً مرة أخرى: "المجال يتوسع."أخفت لينا يدها بسرعة. اقترب صديقها رامي وهمس: "ليه ساعتك بتزن كده؟"
قبل أن تجيب، تذبذبت أضواء الفصل وتحولت جميع الشاشات إلى اللون الأخضر لثانيتين. شهق الجميع—ما عدا لينا، فقد كانت تعلم أن شيئاً أكبر يحدث.

After school, Lina decided to follow the green cracks in the sky. They seemed to point toward the old observatory on the hill—abandoned for years. As she climbed the path, her watch glowed brighter. When she reached the top, she saw the observatory door slightly open, even though it was always locked.
Inside, dusty machines hummed with new life. A hologram suddenly appeared in front of her: a rotating map of the sky with a flashing green circle. Her watch vibrated and synced with the hologram automatically.
بعد المدرسة، قررت لينا أن تتبع الشقوق الخضراء في السماء. بدت وكأنها تشير إلى المرصد القديم الموجود فوق التل—الذي تم هجره منذ سنوات. أثناء صعودها، كانت ساعتُها تزداد توهجاً. وعندما وصلت للقمة، رأت باب المرصد مفتوحاً قليلاً رغم أنه كان مغلقاً دائماً.في الداخل، بدأت الآلات المغبرة تصدر طنيناً وكأنها عادت للعمل من جديد. ظهر فجأة أمامها هولوجرام لخريطة السماء، يتوسطها دائرة خضراء وامضة. اهتزت الساعة بقوة واتصلت تلقائياً بالهولوجرام.

A robotic voice spoke from the hologram:
“Welcome, energy-sensitive human. A rift between dimensions is forming above your city.”
Lina stepped back in shock.
“Me? Why are you talking to me?”
The hologram responded, “Your device detected the rift first. You are the only one whose energy frequency matches the disturbance.”
Lina frowned. She was just an ordinary girl—or so she thought.
انطلقت من الهولوجرام صوت آلي يقول:"مرحباً، أيتها الإنسانة الحساسة للطاقة. هناك صدع بين الأبعاد يتشكل فوق مدينتك."
تراجعت لينا في صدمة.
"أنا؟ ليه بتكلمني أنا؟"
أجاب الهولوجرام: "جهازك اكتشف الصدع أولاً. أنتِ الوحيدة التي يتوافق تردد طاقتك مع الاضطراب."
عقدت لينا حاجبيها. فهي مجرد فتاة عادية—أو هكذا كانت تظن.

Suddenly, the ground trembled. A beam of green light shot down from the sky and hit the observatory roof. Dust fell everywhere. The hologram flickered.
“The rift is accelerating,” it warned.
Lina ran outside and saw the beam reaching from the sky to the ground like a giant pillar. People below were now noticing it and screaming. Her watch displayed a countdown: “54 minutes until breach.”
? A breach? Into what
فجأة اهتزت الأرض. انطلقت أشعة خضراء من السماء وضربت سقف المرصد. تساقط الغبار في كل مكان. تذبذب الهولوجرام."الصدع يتسارع"، حذّر الصوت.
ركضت لينا إلى الخارج لترى الشعاع يصل من السماء إلى الأرض مثل عمود عملاق. بدأ الناس في الأسفل يلاحظونه ويصرخون. وعرضت ساعتُها عدّاً تنازلياً: "54 دقيقة حتى الانفتاح."
انفتاح؟ على ماذا؟

Her watch spoke for the first time with a real voice:
“Lina, you must activate the stabilizer.”
A small metal sphere popped out from the watch and floated in front of her.
“What… is this?”
“A portable energy stabilizer. Only you can use it.”
Lina held her breath. She reached out and touched the sphere. It expanded into a glowing device shaped like a star.
The beam in the sky pulsed dangerously.
تكلمت الساعة لأول مرة بصوت حقيقي:"لينا، يجب أن تُفعّلي المُثبت."
خرجت كرة معدنية صغيرة من الساعة وطفَت أمامها.
"ما… هذا؟"
"مُثبت طاقة محمول. لا يستطيع استخدامه إلا أنتِ."
حبست لينا أنفاسها. مدت يدها ولمست الكرة، فتمدّدت لتصبح جهازاً مضيئاً على شكل نجمة.
كان الشعاع في السماء يخفق بشكل خطير.

Lina ran toward the center of the beam. Wind pushed against her, but the device pulled her forward like it recognized her. When she reached the glowing pillar, she lifted the stabilizer.
A blast of light erupted.
Green cracks in the sky began to close, as if stitched back together. The countdown on her watch jumped to: “Rift neutralized.”
Her legs shook, but she kept holding the device until the beam slowly faded.
ركضت لينا نحو مركز الشعاع. كانت الرياح تدفعها للخلف، لكن الجهاز كان يجذبها للأمام وكأنه يعرفها. عندما وصلت إلى العمود المتوهج، رفعت المثبت عالياً.انطلقت موجة ضخمة من الضوء.
بدأت الشقوق الخضراء في السماء تُغلق وكأنها تُخاط من جديد. وقفز العد التنازلي على ساعتِها إلى: "تم تحييد الصدع."
ارتجفت ساقاها، لكنها ظلت ممسكة بالجهاز حتى بدأ الشعاع يختفي ببطء.

Silence filled the city. The sky returned to its normal blue, except for one tiny green sparkle that floated down and landed in Lina’s hand. Her watch showed a new message:
“Energy Stabilizer Linked. Future anomalies will contact you.”
Rami ran toward her, shouting, “Lina! What just happened?”
She smiled, closing her hand over the glowing spark.
“I think… this is just the beginning.”
عمّ الصمت المدينة. عاد لون السماء إلى الأزرق الطبيعي، ما عدا وميض أخضر صغير انخفض ببطء وهبط في يد لينا. ظهرت رسالة جديدة على ساعتِها:"تم ربط مُثبت الطاقة. سيتم الاتصال بكِ عند حدوث اضطرابات مستقبلية."
ركض رامي نحوها وهو يصرخ: "لينا! إيه اللي حصل؟"
ابتسمت وهي تُغلق يدها على الوميض.
"أعتقد… إن ده مجرد البداية."
